June '10 AMI acquired a Mikron VCE 800 proX, 3 axis precision machining center. Featuring a 16K rpm spindle, 24 position ATC, spindle probe and touch probe able to pick up length and diameter of the tool. With Heidenhein glass scales on all 3 axis it has the ability to position extremely accurately in its 30" X travel and 20" Y travel.
Sept '09, AMI just purchased a Fadal 60x30 Machining Center, now giving us the ability to machine parts in a single setup that are 60 inches long x 30 inches wide, making us one one of only a hand full of shops with the ability to machine this large.
Aug '09, AMI purchased a 12 inch x 24 inch surface grinder with automatic X,Y feed and automatic Z downfeed.
Jan '09, AMI has also purchased a Mikron 400u advanced simultanious 5 axis milling machine that was installed February 2009, it features 18 pallets, laser tool measurment for legnth, diameter, and bottom tool radius, touch probe with M&H 5 axis form inspect for measurment of complex 5 axis parts, and a 42,000 rpm spindle,

Machine Shop
AMI offers a full service precision machine shop from prototype to full production runs. We feature precision Fadal vertical machining centers, CNC turning, and our Five axis Charmilles Wire EDM is
capable of cutting parts up to 16" tall. We also offer a fully automatic, production horizontal HEM band saw.
Plastic Injection Molding
AMI has been involved in plastic injection molding for more than 12 years, with a wide variety of products. The products include our own Universal Stair shim, used through out Colorado and Georgia in
the replacement of wooden shims. AMI also does work for a wide variety of customers including OEM (original equipment manufacturer) for companies such as Ford, Jeep, The Gap and Disney stores. AMI can
often save the customer a significant amount of money in mold development with our full service machine shop and variety of mold making experience we can manufacture molds and complete the injection
work for one stop shopping.
